Welcome to the Precious Blood Art Class

I feel blessed to be teaching art here at Precious Blood School. Being an artist is part of who I am, and it is how I approach life and teaching. Art is about exploration and learning. Art impacts every part of our lives: from the clothes we wear, the house we live in, the commercial images that bombard us and our children, the entertainment we watch, and the list goes on. So it is very important that our children learn to appreciate and to be good critics of art. By exploring Art History and Culture students will learn about the past and have a better appreciation for their own and other cultures. Students will learn the fundamental elements and principals of design and how to apply this knowledge to a wide variety of art production. This will give the students a means of expressing ideas, feelings and opinions in a creative way about the world in which they live. I look forward to getting to know your children and helping them grow as artists made in the image of Christ.
